Been setting up a private viewing area on a clients site using Zen, however now attempting to go live and installing Zen, after entering Database details and hitting 'Go' nothing happens for nearly 2 mins, before firefox attempts to open setup.php.

Anyone have any tips? Could server timeout be a issue?

Funny thing is I installed this morning, then took it offline and it will not reinstall correctly.

Please review your server error log. Otherwise all is guessing.

What exactly would I be looking for?

Errors in the server error log. Ask your host if you don't know how to find that.

There have been some other similar reports, but so far no one has provided any information sufficient to tell what is happening.

But there really should be HTML output by the setup script almost immediately after the link. So if there is a delay with on output, there is someting going on on the server in actually executing the script. I have no idea what that might be, though.

I decided to create another database, and attempt the installation using Chrome, instead of Firefox.

Worked perfectly.

I am unsure which helped to the solve the issue, but my gut feeling is my clients host database management not quite right.

I doubt the browser would contribute. Besides most of us use Firefox and have no problems. If the database were not responding then this timeout could occur. Setup could be frozen on the database open.
