i've upload my first picture to my first local zenphoto album...

all works correctly, but i can't make any comment (i've tried as a "normal" user and as a administrator), nor add tags, nor view the picture infos.

1. comment: Is the comment_form plugin enabled and are comments allowed for the item?

2. add tags: You can add tags on the backend. Frontend editing is disableb by default because it provides a possible security breach.

3. view the picture infos: Enable the colorbox plugin.

i wonder if there should not be warning somewhere; in the current state:

• i can enable comments
• there is no sign of the comments being plugins
• some plugins are already activated, other not...

in my case i had no luck and the window was too narrow to see the plugin tab...

however, nice software!

ps.: the link to the forum rules in your footer is correct, but the one on the "add new topic" not...

putting a direct link to "troubleshooting" may also help (i know i may be selfish, but i want to solve a problem, not read for the 100th time how kind i should be in a forum :-)

  Sorry, we really can't put out warnings for everything. If you are using a software new to it really can be expected that you look a little around on the backend regarding options and plugins.

Even if your browser windows was too narrow you surely saw scrollbars which tells everyone not using computers since today that there is more content to scroll too...

Thanks for the note about the wrong link. We didn't notice. And no we will keep the link there. That is best from our experience. You have a big link on the main navigation for the user guide. Anyone should be able to find that, really..

Hi, I'm having similar problems and haven't been able to locate what I need to change in the options.

Before upgrading to the current version, I could click on the Album Title, the Description, and the Tags to edit them if I was logged in as the admin. Now that functionality is gone.

You said editing tags in the front-end was disabled by default - can you please explain how to change that? And is it the same for editing the other two items?

I know I can do this from the back-end, but that is extremely slow for me (like 10 minutes!), so being able to do it from the album page was very handy.

The front end editing is an options under Options > General now. Why it is disabled by default is explained on the option itself (in short security reasons).
