I am implementing a system to allow users to be updated on a certain work progress. So I have a main Album and then sub-albums each with different dates. The issue is that on the main Album's page I wish to have a static image and not a random one that on each access or page refreshing changes. Moreover it would be great if I can also disallow it to be clicked. Then for the subs everything is already perfect as it is.

Thanks for any tips.
Nicola

The album thumbnail behaviour can be set on each albums edit page or globally on the options.
I don't understand why it should not be clickable...how do you want to get into the album then?

Because the gallery will divide into project and each project will avail of subs organized per date. On the main album there will be no images stored, only in the sub-albums. Thanks!

I am now on the admin>album page and the second last option is "Thumbnail:". Selected the only uploaded image but yet each time I refresh the main album it shows random pics each time different ones getting them from the subs.

  1. But you only get into the subalbums if you click on the album thumb of the parent actually. Of course you did not tell anything about what theme your are talking!!! Anyway, if you want to remove a link somewhere edit the theme.

  2. The album thumbnail option is the right one. There are two options "most recent" or "random". You can also enable the "visual thumb seleciton" for individual ones on the options. But be careful if you have many and big images, this can cause time outs (thus disabled by default).

I think it was the Theme preventing me to manage it as described above. I changed it and now I can handle it as I need. Even thumbnails handling is now working fine. Thanks for the help.
