Hello,
My video just won't display.
They list in the gallery, with the generic icon as the thumbnail, and no description or title (even though I entered and applied them). When I click on the icon in the gallery to play the video, a blank html page displays, with no content between the tags.

I've searched the forum for answers, and did everything suggested:

Disabled PHP Safe mode
Checked the directory permissions
Checked the RewriteBase line
Tried uploading via ftp and via the cp upload feature. Mo luck with either.

I'm using the Default theme.

Any other suggestions?

You need to enable the video-class plugin and also the Flowplayer3 plugin. Without these nothing will show. Also make sure that the video format is supported at all.

I forgot to mention that I've enabled those plugins as well. The videos I've tried uploading are .mov, .mp4 and .flv.

Update: Just tried uploading an image. It shows a thumbnail of the image but clicking on the thumbnail still brings up the blank page with no source code.

In case unknown:

• mov requires the Quicktime plugin installed on the browser
• mp4 and flv require Flash

The files could also be wrong encoded. Check that.

Another thing I could think of is that your server somehow is not recognizing those files valid. Then you would have to add them to the htaccess file (search the net on that, don'T have the syntax at hand)

Otherwise a link would be of help.

EDIT: The issue with hte image sounds like either Zenphoto is not installed correctly or the server is missconfigured. Still a link would probably help.

My server displays images and videos fine.

I can watch mov and flv files in my browser.

I've tried IE and Firefox with no luck.

You get a real blank page not just empty ``. That is not video related for sure as that indicates php errors. You need to review your server error log so we see what error it is.

Did setup complain about anything on your server config?

I'll check my server log for the error.

I don't know if this helps, but in IE, I actually get the tags and all the rest of the structure, but no content. In Firefox, it shows to be completely blank. I reckon IE adds that source code to completely blank pages.

I resolved the 1 error during the setup, but I forgot what it was.

There were two warnings:

(1) PHP version recommendation. My host uses 5, but evidently not the version you strongly recommend.

(2) I set something to "restrictive" - can't remember what that setting was. How do I go back and set that security lower?

Wow, I think I'm in real trouble here.

I went into my host's cp and saw that the error log isn't even enabled, so I enabled it. Now my site has gone down completely.

That's strange, the site is back up now. What a weird coincidence.

Thanks for all your help. I've installed Coppermine. It's not nearly as good or as user friendly as your gallery, but i just couldn't figure this out.
