Hello.
After a year or so with a buggy install, I have just taken the plunge and made a clean, up to date one, from scratch. The installation itself went fine.
However, the first thing I went to change in my options was the date format, under the general tab.
On clicking 'apply' I get this error:
`
Not Acceptable
An appropriate representation of the requested resource /zenphoto/zp-core/admin-options.php could not be found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
`
As far as I can see, this is the only problem with my install, but I would like to fix it as I invest a lot of time in my image archive.
Thanks for any help!
SOLVED.
Admin, this information may be of use to you:
After looking around, I suspected this was caused by triggering a kind of server security module called mod_security.
Apparently, you shouldn't turn this off, but I asked my server admin to turn it off for troubleshooting:
Quote:It is not possible to disable mod security rules for complete account but I have excluded it for the file "/zenphoto/zp-core/admin-options.php"
So now it works, and i'm happy about that, but is there something you guys should change to stop mod_security being triggered in future?
It is probably just a quirky definition, set by my server admin. I have just noticed the same issue when saving changes to the theme files through the web editor.
I will ask them for more details on why exactly this is being blocked.
For others reference, I am on a shared Linux server, on eukhost.
