Hi I'm new here and need help.
I did some galleries using zenphoto with default theme.
The photos are displayed in full when I use Firefox.
But seeing IE8 in some open and others not.

see the problem.

If you click on some other images appear showing the area and not the image.
Can someone please help me?

Interesting.

I do not see right off what is wrong, but from past experience I would say check the pages HTML for errors. IE is more sensitive to those than FF.

Another anomoly is that the image uri is always to the image processor so it would seem that either the link is not being done correctly or the image is not being cached. Maybe IE is somehow not dealing properly with the imageprocessor uri. (Noramlly this works just fine, for instance for me with my sites and IE.)

Thanks for responding.
What happens is:
Some photos in this album are displayed and others are left only with a red "X" and the image space, but the image does not appear.
If you click Next or Prev will see the problem.
What do you think I should do to fix this?

This theme certainly is NOT the "default" theme. So the first thing you should do is see if standard themes work correctly. If they do, then you have a problem with that theme.

Can anyone assist?
Images not showing in any test galleries. I have tried different themes but no joy. I have viewed in alternative browsers but still no images display. Could this be a permissions issue?
The test gallery can be found here.

Any help would be so much appreciated.

This seems to be a permissions issue as Zenphoto is not able to execute its image processor. Safari reports an "internal server error". Also there is a call to "http://localhost" somewhere that throws an error which might also be related.

Please read on our user guide's troubleshooting how to set permissions correctly.

I have set all permissions as instructed in the troubleshooting guide but still have issues viewing the images.
Any further advice?

Any errors in the server error log? Safari still reports the same issue. Maybe you are not allowed to change permissions via FTP. Maybe contact your host.
