Hello,

I just wanted to bring up something interesting. I uploaded my photos to album via SSH/FTP whatnot, and noticed that nothing was published. It frustrated me for a good several hours before I realized that it was doing this for all my albums. Is this a new implementation since the hack because I never had to set all images to be published before.

Thanks.

It is something that is set to default as unpublished. There are two options under options->gallery

I don't recall when it was added but I only recently ran into it myself so it's something fairly new.

Oh I see it now, thanks. I had reverted to 1.4.1.6 to test it out but now I see it in the new one. Thanks!

I found and fixed that issue too, but I am still having a seemingly-related problem in that when I post a link to my new albums on Facebook, the link takes people to the page, but the photos are not visible to anyone, just the Captcha logo and comments field. I can see the photos if I am logged in as an admin, but not as a guest. As well, the thumbnail on Facebook is of the Captcha logo and not a photo from the album. Anyone know how to correct that?

If normal user don't see the images, they are not published.

They are published. The album is published, as are the individual photos.

This is my latest album which no one can see: http://www.christianbobak.ca/Events/Anti-Harper%20Rally/

The album is published and the individual photos are published. At first, none of the individual photos were published (some new default thing?) but I fixed that, yet they still cannot be seen by anyone unless they are logged in as an admin. Also, instead of a thumbnail of a photo showing over at Facebook, all I see is the Captcha logo.

This issue just started several weeks to a month ago.

If uploading via FTP default is unpublished as you might want to change titles etc if you don't use metadata. It is an option however. Additionally you can use this:
http://www.zenphoto.org/news/publishContent

I can see the above album btw. You use the static html cache plugin so remember that does not clear/update if you publish images or change else. Either you do it manually or wait until it it updates itself as set.

Also, instead of a thumbnail of a photo showing over at Facebook, all I see is the Captcha logo.
This is a facebook thing. Try micheall's facebook plugins or the html_meta_tags one and enable open graph meta elements.

Your pages are being served by the static HTML cache. If you purge that, I would bet that the published images would show correctly.

Purging the cache seems to have worked, thank you very much. As for the Facebook/Captcha issue, is that a brand new thing? Facebook has always shown a photo thumbnail from my site before without me having to do anything. Where do I find these plug-ins? (who is Michael?). One other thing: It says in my Overview that I still have six photos that are unpublished somewhere, but since that notice is not hotlinked to the photos in question, I wouldn't know where to begin looking. Is there a way of being directed straight to the unpublished photos so I can publish them?

 1. I cannot answer the Facebook one asI don't use it. The plugin as all are found on our extensions section.

 2. So you don't read the topic you are posting to? Micheall is the developer of the facebook plugins.

 3. I already did post a link to an extension to publish items.

I FTP'd the PublishContent plugin into my plugins folder, but now what do I do? How does it work? I do not see it anywhere. For the record, it isn't showing up in my list of plugins.

Please be patient with me as I am new to this.

You have to put the file and the folder of the same name directly into the plugins folder, not the folder with these two. Then it will appear and after enabling it you will see a new button on the overview utility buttons.

You mean the zip file straight into the plugins folder?

If you unzip it you see a folder with a file and a folder. Those two.

That worked, thank you, and I have enabled the plugin from the list. But how does this plugin work? Where it is? What do I do? I have looked under my albums and I see nothing that says PublishContent.
