Hi,

Is there a way that I could allow users to create their own albums and upload, but not be able to edit other albums?

I am using zenphoto to share photos with my family (and they with me) so have set zenphoto to require a login. And will only be creating logins for members of the family.

If there isn't away could someone point me in the direction of details to that I can write a plugin to allow it (I'm a developer with hopefully enough php skills but .NET by default!!).

Thanks

The managed album rights does allow you to do that. You simply do not assign edit rights to the album unless it is the user who is supposed to be able to edit it.

Hi,

By that do you mean the tick box list of albums? Does that allow them to create a new album of their own, such as "Amys Graduation Photos" or "Amys holiday" as and when they have a new album to share?

Thanks for the quick response.

If you look at the user/admin tab you see a managed album list.

Acrylian,

I can see that there is a list of the currently existing albums allowing my to grant a user rights over that album.

What I am after is the ability to grant a user the right to CREATE NEW albums so that they can upload to them.

If the user has edit rights to the album he may create new subalbums within it.
