Hello everybody, I need help in this issue.
I don't know if already discussed in the forum but I wasn't able to find it.

I'm using Zenphoto version 1.3 [5479] for www.cittadiebla.com and I had some problems with the zp-core directory on the server.

I've done this steps:
back up the entire directory (zp-core) the index.php
back up of the database from the admin panel
deleted the zp-core directory (and I found there were some sub folders with changed permission to 0000)
uploaded the zp-core folder back oin the server and the index.php

Now the admin panel works fine and I can see all the content, but the index.php display a blank page.

The server is running Apache version 2.2.22, PHP version 5.2.17, MySQL version 5.1.61-community-log

Can anyone help me to find where is my mistake?

So many thanks

Luca

First, Zenphoto 1.3 is pretty old, it is strongly recommended to upgrade.

A blank page means most always a php error. So you need to look into the server error log to find out which. Otherwise we cannot help. Probably the upload went wrong but that is just a guess.

Thank you Acrylian!!
So you sugget to upgrade.
If so, please, can you lead me where I can find instructions to upgrade from 1.3 to the latest version?
I saw only instructions for an upgrade from a newer version.

Thank you so much!

The upgrade process is always the same. The only issue is that if you are on a really old version of Zenphoto there may be issues. We do not know since we do not have the resources to test all the possible upgrade permutations.

Since you already have backups, I suggest you simply install the current version and see what happens. Most likely it will work just fine. If it does not, you will have to upgrade in intermediate steps. Unfortunately we cannot suggest what those steps are (see above.)

Thank you for your help!
It seems working now after the upgrade!
