Problem with order of subalbums and thumbnail pics

I am having a problem getting my subalbums to show in descending date order AND having my thumbnail for my albums show a picture from my most recent album at the same time without me having to manually pick a picture to be shown.

I set all the thumbnail fields set as "most recent" so that I don't have to manually change the picture that's showing for the thumbnail every time I add a new album. Then I set my subalbum order to "Date" and clicked the box for Descending. However, when I did that, the thumbnail picture that shows is no longer my most recent. It's actually the picture from the least recent album.

So then I manually ordered my subalbums in ascending date order, so that the most recent album is on the bottom of the list, and now the correct thumbnail is showing, but my subalbums are listed, of course, in ascending order on my website. This wouldn't be a major issue, except that I'm a cake decorator, and I want my most recent pictures showing first, as they are my best ones. Practice makes perfect, after all.

Can you please tell me how to get my subalbums listed in descending date order on my website AND get the thumbnail to pull from the most recently added subalbum?

Here is the page that's causing me the most grief: http://www.fancythatcake.com/birthday-cakes/childrens-birthdays/girls-cakes/ I don't want that Minnie Mouse cake listed first in my subalbums, and I don't want it showing in my thumbnails, either.

Thank you.

@sbillard - just to note, may help with newcomers posting twice: When a newcomer posts, I can see his post title, tags, etc; everything but the post body. It may be better if possible to not even show the posting until it has been moderated. A newcomer sees his post but no body probably thinking there was an error in posting.
  • 'Fraid there is not much we can do about that (but it is good to know.) All this stuff comes frm bbPress and its plugins.

But we have added a notice to the post window. Not that people were reading these sorts of things anyway.
