Changing FTP password for host w/o having ill effects on zenphoto installation

Hey guys, I need to change the password on my hosting account. I already have a great zen photo installation on the server.

Simple question - Will changing my FTP password which was used to initially setup the zenphoto installation affect zen photo now that it's already setup?

If it will affect it, where can I update the FTP password (zen photo config file, etc) so zen photo doesn't freak out?

Thanks!
Danny

  • Zenphoto shouldn't be aware of any FTP info whatsoever. The only info the setup script asks for is for SQL; is that what you meant? If so, then changing your SQL user's password will necessitate changing the info in `zp-config.php` in the `zp-data` directory. This can either be done manually or by running setup again.
  • Perfect! For some reason I remember it needing FTP info for things like uploading images and writing to folders that it creates on my server for image albums and such. Am I just losing my mind? :/
  • Well, you can upload images by FTP, but Zenphoto only cares that images are there and not how they get there. As far as I know, Zenphoto has never required FTP info to function.

If you are losing your mind, then at least you get some convenience out of Zenphoto first. :)
