Album thumbnail columns arrange differently depending on sort key used

I am using zpGalleriffic theme. I have 14 albums in 3 columns and normally the thumbnails display as 3 in first and following rows, with 2 in final row. This was working fine until I manually sorted the album. Now they display as 3 in first row, 3 in second row, 1 in third row, 3 in fourth row, 3 in fifth row, and 1 in final row. If I sort by ID, they display as expected but if I try other sort orders, it goes back to the odd order. I don't think it's CSS since it works with one sort and not the others.

Any ideas how to fix this?
