disappearing text

I have been working with Zenphoto for the past weeks and really loving it except for some minor thing and one major thing...

The major one being that all the text (titles, description, tags) keeps disappearing.
A couple weeks I spent hours entering information on my photos. Everything looked good. Yesterday I went back and it all looked the same as before so I contined updating my photos. Some time later I went back to look at my work, and all the photo titles, description, tags etc had disappeared and reset itself back to the default text I had entered before uploading the photos weeks before.

Tried re-entering some text and none seemed to stick even after saving, so thought maybe it was an issue with Firefox and switched to IE. Spent another couple hours re-entering everything and it was all fine. Went back to it this evening and everything is gone again.

What am I doing wrong??

    Given your description, the most likely culpret is the database. However, I am not clear on "when" things dissappear. Is it without any action on your part, or does it happen when you save something (not necessarily the image that gets reset, though.)

    Anyway, some more information would be useful--zenphoto version, specifics of what steps you do and the results at each point, etc.

    I too am trying to figure out when things get reset. There doesn't seem to be any reason or pattern behind it that I can tell so far. Before, I had been working on updating the photos for hours and everything was fine. Viewed the pages, refreshed the pages, and then several hours later it was all gone back to what it was when I first uploaded the photos weeks before.
    I was just actually trying to troubleshoot more now by having a look at my database. I made a small change to the title of the photo and it did get written to the database.

    I'm using zenphoto 1.3.1.2.
    I will try to replicate it but I'm not sure where to go from here.

    I should add too, that other changes I have made have stuck, such as new albums. (Although one album lost its description.)

    Well, I hope you can find a pattern. Otherwise I doubt we can help.

    ok, it seems to be when I hit Refresh Metadata (although I don't recall using this function before)

    The only thing I would think of is that some of your images have somehow empty data in the meta data so on refresh the entries are refreshed with this "empty" data.

    I have a far memory that there was a bug with this. So all I can recommend right now is to try the nightly build.

    There have been some fixes for this in the nightly builds. Please try a nightly.
