'setup scripts missing' when using virtual host

Hi,
I have just installed Zenphoto for storing my wife's photos online and all works well. However, if I try to access it using a virtual host that points to the zenphoto folder I get the dreaded 'setup scripts missing' error. I did delete the setup stuff after installation. I have checked the forums and found nothing relevant. I guess Zenphoto thinks something has changed? I had mod_rewrite ON and tried changing it OFF but no difference. Is this something simple? (He hopes, as he likes the virtual host arrangement)

Could you please tell a little more details about the way all is installed? If Zenphoto runs within a virtual host did you install it via that as well?
  • No, I simply installed it straight into mellor.ws/juliet/zenphoto to which juliet.mellor.ws points. No problem reaching it by typing mellor.ws/juliet/zenphoto.

PS Sorry about the double post. I pressed 'Send post' then went off for my tea. When I came back the page was still trying to load so I assumed it had not gone, and pressed 'Send Post' again!

You can only have one of the two links. So the url to the install is a www.domain.com one? Then your htaccess file needs to be updated. you can do that either via the setup files by reuploading them or manually by changing the rewrite base. You can't have the install with both urls with modrewrite.
  • OK, acrylian, I've sorted it with your clues. I uploaded the setup folder and files again and accessed zenphoto using the virtual host. The setup ran again and all is now fine. Thank you for the prompt and helpful advice.
