albums or sub-albums only for registered user

hello everyone

i tried making a folder can viewable for registered user only

looking at the option, the only possible way i found is :
1. setting to private which force register for all user
2. set a password to the album

but that not what i want, i want specific folder only viewable to registered user, while other albums can be viewed by everyone

are there anyway to make it work this way ?

The troubleshooting guide and the user rights article on our user guide section has all info about that. You can of course only set user rights on top level albums including all sub levels.

You want this by magic? To block access you MUST password protect. How else would it work? Your registered users will be able to see the album by default.

i read the user rights (http://www.zenphoto.org/news/an-overview-of-zenphoto-users) and troubleshooting guide
i might miss something but seems the only possible is to set forum to private and let registered-user to view the galery

i am thinking like forum function that let user to see the forum-threads but can't access it without login

is there a way to custom zenphoto to need login when want view an image ?

It is all possible and explained on that article, especially in the last part. So you can either assign users to albums either by user groups or individually (toplevel albums only for technical and performance reasons as Zenphoto is filesystem based) or password protect albums directly.

Not php coding necessary. I suggest to try it.
