ZenPhoto login procedure

Hi ! ..
I don't understand the login-Procedure of Zen-Photo.
A new user registered, received the link and activate his account.
Now he belongs to a pre-defined group.
The User will login into the site and after that he get the message : you need a password to enter the side .. And nothing else is possible ..
If I create a User everything will be ok ..
After trying a lot with self created and admin created users something wonderful has happened.
ALL USER ARE GONE ..
Only the admin-created Users are still there ..

Am I to stupid to install this gallery script ??

Please help ..

    So, why do you create three topics for the same issue? If this happens again you account will be in danger of being deleted following the forum rules.

    Also the forum rules you surely read will tell you that this forum is English only.

    Regardless, please post more info like which Zenphoto version and what settings you exactly use. You might also want to try the trunk nightly build.

    If you feel revised about that, so let me say that I'm sorry about !
    Rather than offend a newbie, it would have been nice to offer help.
    Where is your problem with the language? As you can see I have written in English.
    I would prefer german support , because it is easier to explain the problems.
    And if someone passes a mistake to threaten him with the rules of the forums is not really nice.

    Acrylian had no intention of offending you. BUT, you must understand that this error on your part seems to get repeated hundereds of times by "newbies" who seem not to bother to read how the forum works, etc.

    I do not know if you did indeed read these items, but if you did you did not heed them as you originally failed to (for instance) tell us the Zenphoto version you are using as is stated as required.

    As to the use of German for your support. Perhaps it would be easier for you to understand the responses. But also you will find your support somewhat limited since then only those who can understand and reply in German will be able to respond.

    As to your specific problem. Please complete the following exercise and post your results here:

    For the user in question list all the rights and for each rights provide the following:

    1. Right Name
    2. How you have set the right for the user (checked or not)
    3. What you expect the setting you have chosen to accomplish
    4. What you observe the setting to accomplish.

    You might be aided in this exercise by reading the document on user rights and the hints that pop-up for each right.

    I am sorry if that sounded rough. But we frequently encounter people doing multiple posts although it is clearly stated that news users are moderated which annoys us a little. Of course since the topic/post is moderated and needs to be approved it does not "exist" yet.

    Anyway, I will take a look if we can make the "topic not found" message more clear that it might be moderation causing it. First we have to find where in this forum software that might be generated.

    My collegues don't speak German as won't a lot of users. And since my collegue sbillard is the expert on user stuff I would have to translate back and forth in case I have to consult him as well. I did that once and won't do it again. A lot of extra work I am not willing to do. We are all volunteers. Also staying in English may help other users later on.

    Besides that of course you get help here. So please post exactly what rights you have assign to the users that can't login. Also review your server error logs.
