Not all images displying in same directory

I've reinstalled this latest version twice thinking I must have hosed something.

http://www.perioddrama.com/zenphoto/

At the main index, you'll see not all images are displayed and some have second scrunched up images, such all Black Gold and Blackthorn.

Also, in directory "300" (the third menu item down), none of the images are showing - only filenames. I've just reinstalled it again. Earlier there was some images showing - now there are none.

I just installed another large directory with over a 1,000 images and that works fine.

I just don't know why some and not all.

Also, in 300, there are two flv files, and I don't see the image that represents them. I have flvs in a lot of these directories, such as Agora and that flv icon image won't show. The flv will play, though if you click on the filename.

Thanks.

  • My collegue is more familiar with this theme, but my guess would be that there is some problem creating the cached image for these items. Perhaps the ones working already had cache images.

Check your error logs and check to see what is actually stored in the cache folder.
  • That's interesting that you have mentioned the cache. I was several versions behind in zp and went looking into upgrading, I believe I read to have 5.2 or better of PHP. I had my host upgrade my php to the latest 5.3.8. Many of my programs broke from the deprecation of code. Unlike before, ZP now installs my cache directories, I chmod to 777, but the cache created is with a "99" owner instead of my root ownership. I am unable to delete it. I've tried two other installs and the same thing happened. I have them sitting, not trying to bother the support staff for the 4th time. I do not know if it's php 5.3.8 or something in ZP. To be honest, with all the programs that broke, through looking for replacements, a few other programs are leaving me with unowned cache directories which cannot be deleted and some are fine. I don't know where the problems lays but my problem I am having now could be with the cache directory. I may have to move away from ZP in order to get my 40,000 images online in some other form that can be managed - and wait out where the problems is. The problem with the "99" (apache) ownership is a problem in all of the themes.

I am not a server expert but if Zenphoto is assigned the wrong user / ownership that is for sure a server configuration issue. We had something similar on our own server one time as well. Sorry, you need to contact your provider support about this. Zenphoto needs to be able to do these things and I can assure that it works on pretty standard shared hosting.
