Guest User: wrong redirection after login

Hi,

I want my whole gallery to be available for visitors whom I gave the password. So I set my gallery to be public, entered a password and deactivated the user name insert field.

My zenphoto installation is on www.domain.com/zenphoto. When I enter this URL the password is requested. When I enter and submit it, the issue appears: I am redirected to www.domain.com/zenphoto/zp-core/admin.php instead of www.domain.com/zenphoto. Which means, my guests wonder why they need to log on after they've already entered the correct password. Of course they don't know that they're logged on however and that they just need to enter www.domain.com/zenphoto again.

What can I do that my guests are redirected to the main gallery page (not to the administration login interface) after they've entered the correct password? By the way, I'm using the JoshuaInk Theme.

Thank you so much!

  • Could be that you are not running a Zenphoto version where that is fixed.
  • thanks for your quick reply!

i'm running zenphoto 1.4.1.4[8157], just downloaded it days ago.
  • thanks, great!
do i have to install the nightly build completely new or is it sufficient to substitute the template-functions.php file of my current installation?
  • i just installed the nightly build in a new directory and it works fine with default theme now. but the issue still persists with joshuaink theme.

Joshuaink is actually not really a supported theme. If you find out what is different we probably could update it.
  • sorry, i switched back to default theme, using the nightly build. thanks for your great support, everything works smoothly now.
  • Probably you just need to remove the `password form.php` file from joshuaink. But as said, not one of our themes.

So we add no confusing joshuaink does not have such a file. In short we don't know what this issue might be.
  • Just a thought I had, as I came across the same problem with the JI theme. I simply merged the JI theme with Default—copying over the visuals and leaving the rest to the birds. Worked like a charm.
