problem installing ZP in a password-protected area

Just uploaded zenphoto and am trying to run setup.php, but for some reason it's just bringing up a blank screen.

The installation *is* in a private directory (password protected by .htaccess), so perhaps there are other steps involved in that (I've been able to install other gallery/blogging/etc software without trouble however). Do I have to set certain permissions within my ZP folders? Any other ideas?

    I don't know if permissions would be the problem, but the easiest way to find out is to open all the permissions (`chmod 0777`) and if it works after that, then you'll know that it was permissions.

    Otherwise, you're going to need to find the relevant error. Surely there is something in the server's error logs that would help figure out what the problem is.
