zp 1.2.9 critial problem

hi!

zenphoto 1.2.9 will set empty (blank) string to EXIFGPSLongitud, EXIFGPSLatitude and EXIFGPSAltitude fields in zp_images table.

my story is i just upgraded to 1.2.9 from previous version 1.2.8, upgrade process is very smoothly. but when visitor browse to image which contents gps data, all EXIFGPSLongitud, EXIFGPSLatitude and EXIFGPSAltitude of that image item will be set to blank string in zp_images table.

please help to fix it, thx in advance!

    If you think that you've found a bug, the best bet would be to submit a ticket on the Bugtracker (there's a link in the upper-right corner of this page). This way, it will be sure to be corrected if it is a bug.

    I would like to install the patched gps.php file referenced in the above ticket, but I'm not sure what to do. All the site docs say that one shouldn't just install a single updated file, but should work with complete installations.

    Is that the correct process to get the fix for the GPS data or should I just install the new GPS.php file on top of the existing ones.

    We don't try files separate, so the save way is to install the nightly build or wait till the official release.

    Let me translate. We have not tested any individial changes against the base release. The only testing that has been done is with all the other changes. Additionally we do not ourselves try to figure out if there are other changes to the file. If there are the probablility of the file running correctly with the base release is pretty slim.

    So, unless you have the skills to examine the changes of the gps "maker" file you are advised to install the full nightly build. If you feel daring, just install the changed file.
