Hello,
Zenphoto version 1.4.2.1 [9264] (Official Build)
Current gallery theme: zpFocus_ v1.4.2
I was wondering if someone could give me some advice concerning my robots.txt file. I just noticed today that according to Google Webmasters Tools Sitemap Index that almost all of my images are indexed, but none of my albums, index pages or category pages are indexed.
I use the sitemap plugin and have descriptions for each of the previous items.
My site is around 3 years old and I have had great traffic until recently. Just trying to figure out what may be causing the drop. It seemed to begin after upgrading from Zenphoto version 1.4.1.1 [7810] (Official Build). The upgrades are the only changes I have made to the site other than adding more content and images. Following is my robots.txt file.
User-agent: Googlebot
Allow: /albums/
Allow: /cache/
Allow: /uploaded/
Disallow: /backup/
Disallow: /cig-bin/
Disallow: /themes/
Disallow: /zp-core/
Disallow: /zp-data/
Disallow: /page/search/

If I search google with `site:advertisement-gallery.com` I get lots of result pages for your site and among that at least the 4+ first pages are album pages.
I have the sitemap plugin enabled so do i need to bother creating a sitemap.xml file (i have been using the prog xenu) to place in my root directory?
Also in google webmaster tools i have been adding this file - do i need to add the ones created via the plugin instead of or as well as the one i create in xenu?
Cheers
John
