I'm using the jquery (noncolorbox) version of the slideshow but my theme background is so dark that the controls don't show up above the slides. If I mouse over them they're just faintly visible but users would never find them. I tried editing the colors in part of the slideshow-controls.png but I don't really understand which of the three sets of controls I should alter in order to get a set of controls that are visible by default against a background that is essentially black. Either than or I could have a non-transparent background for the entire control strip although that is a less elegant solution.

What I think I need are controls that will be visible against an essentially black background.

Perhaps it can be fixed with a change in slideshow css

I'm not really sure how to edit either the css or the png file to achieve this result.

Thanks

Forget it. I just copied the controls.png file out of the core extensions folder for the slideshow and renamed it and put it into my theme folder and it shows up fine against a dark background.

That is a bug (didn't I mention this on another topic somewhere?). You would have to modify the the PNG file. You could do it yourself by inverting the colors in an image editor program. You can also create custom slideshow css (that should be documented on the functions documentation).

Still a bug as the theme has the wrong file. You also could have deleted the theme one as it then would use the extension default one.
