No, Zenphoto cannot update itself automatically. If you see the "setup files" warning, that is different and widely discussed on topics like this http://www.zenphoto.org/support/topic.php?id=17131 and explained on our installation page.

Again, Zenphoto has no auto updater. You have to upload the files yourself via FTP to update.
