Maybe there are some ideas from the new developer Team how to implement a zenPhoto gallery in an existing site instead of building a theme of that site to match the design.

I think this is some essential issue.... there should be an easy way to integrate zenPhoto.

What exactly do you want to do? If you want your album to look like the rest of your WEB pages you need to create a theme that mimics your pages. Depending on how far you want to deviate form the supplied zen themes, that is not too hard to do. Maybe as simple as modifying the CSS file of the theme.

What about providing a feed so that a selection of images can be displayed on a home page for example.

A bit like the SSI feed that Simple Machine Forum (SMF) provides
