Is there someone who uses zenphoto with mod_rewrite = false and can use the AJAX editing?

There are many problems with mod_rewrite = false in zenphoto and this AJAX thing is the last bug I couldn't solve. Any help would be very nice, because this AJAX thing is so fantastic...

It is difficult to catch without knowing the AJAX library, so I'll take care of it. I'm planning on releasing a bugfix this week which should fix all the non-mod_rewrite bugs.

Was this ever released ? I have issues with AJAX and I am not using mod_rewrite.
