When i protect an album with a password, the description is also part of what i am trying to protect (if you are describing private images, why would this be public?)..

  • leaves me with no option but to not describe the gallery at all
  • it makes sense to me, to only provide the album title to unauthorised viewers..

If anyone could suggest a fix/hack for this i'd appreciate it!

Don't show the title or description in with your thumbnails.

Hmmm..
forgive my ignorance, but where is it possible to put a description that can't be publicly seen?

Delete the code that displays the description of an album from where you are displaying the thumbnail.

Sbillard, I think zloh means the album descprition that is still show when the album thumbs itself are not because of the password. Deleting the code will not help him.

Then you have to put a call on checkForPassword() around anything you do not want to show when the album page is displayed.
