I don't know about others but I would appreciate a .htaccess file in the zen folder. The default Apache setup will allow for Indexes of the zen folder under some setups, such as my host (DreamHost). I added one myself, very simple at that.

I don't know if others consider this a good idea but it's a relatively easy addition that makes things slightly harder on those would would like to attack my site.

That directive can also just go in the root directory's .htaccess with the rewrite rules. It should apply to all subdirectories as well.
