Did you check the folder permissions? Are there any errors in the log? Are you sure your webspace matches the reqiurements, did setup complain about anything? We need some more info about your server like php version for example.

You are getting some sort of error when processing the images. Either your images are too large to be processed on your server of some other error is occurring. Check your CGI error logs. Review the troubleshooting references acrylian gave you.

You can also try the nightly build as there have been improvements in memory usage.

well now it seems even the albums do not work

i liked the script but i am afraid it has too many errors or features that do not work that way they are designed to work

i can not fix it or find a build that is stable or even have the core features working

so i guess after there is a reply i will remove the script and try another gallery like gallery 2 which i do not have installed on another site on the same server and it is working fine after install.

I will wait to see if there is a fix

I am sorry that you have that much trouble. Actually Zenphoto is running fine on lots of servers. The current strange behaviour seems to be a modrewrite issue. Please try to disable that on the admin options.

Do you also get any errors in the error log? Maybe you could also post your server details (php version, or the phpinfo stuff).

Well, for me it works in Firefox as well. So I am guessing that there is some sort of security configuration on your PC that is blocking the images.

okay the images work after doing the upgrade to the latest version

This most likely is a css thing. Do you have a link to an image with a description so that we can take a look?

sorry for the delay
by the way I decided to keep the Zenphotos.

I am going to replace my other galleries with Zenphotos.

I have 3 questions regarding this before I begin the process

  1. Is Zenphotos compatible with Joomla, ( I have a few joomla sites)
  2. Is there a Zebphotos plugin for wordpress
  3. Will I get support when using Zenphotos with 3rd party scripts

  1. Don't know.
  2. There are several, search the forum and look at the WEB site extensions page
  3. We can't help you with the 3rd party scripts, but can with zenphoto issues.

  1. Zenphoto is actually a gallery specialized CMS on its own. You would either have to make your theme to look like thatof the Joomla sites. That will of course work with all kind of other CMS.

Alternativly you could try this method: http://www.zenphoto.org/2008/01/hacks/#zenphoto-as-plugin
But I am not familiar with Joomla at all so I can't answer if their will be any conflicts.

can anyone tell me why the text appears on the images or how to solve it via css

Re 3rd party installs

Thank you for the replies, I will give it a try with both joomla and wordpress

this could be the perfect gallery solution for both

can zenphotos work with phpfox.com cms script?
