I'm trying to upload ZenPhoto/ZenPage to a server (Yahoo Small Business using FileZilla. Some files (e.g. .htaccess, blue and green play.css, etc.) don't upload. I suspect because the names are illegal on Unix server (dot at the beginning of the name, the spaces in the name). What do I do?
Many thanks.
Thanks, yes, the Force showing hidden files is on, but the files that have spaces in the names and .htaccess consistently go to 'failed transfers' tab. Is there anything else that can be tried (I suspect that Zenphoto has been uploaded to Yahoo! business server by someone before). Many thanks.
It may be related to the Yahoo server you spoke of, but I don't know nothing about these. Maybe they don't support htaccess/modrewrite at all then you won't need it anyway... Generally filename starting with a . should work on any Unix server (Apache is one...). Maybe try to use another ftp client or ask the Yahoo support.
Many, many thanks. If this is the case, would it mean that Yahoo server is incompatible with ZenPhoto, or the names of these few files could be renamed somehow to get ZenPhoto to work there anyway?
What ZenPhoto functionalities will be affected by not having the .htaccess file available?
Cheers!
