Hi

Is there anyway of improving the quality of the cached thumbnails ? My full sized images are around 150k-200k and the corresponding thumbnails are around 9k.

Is there a setting to allow me to get better quality from the thumbnails, its compressing too much for my liking.

Thanks for any help

The settings you refer to, are they Options | Image Display | Thumb Quality ? I have this set to 100.

Actually I meant those. Did you try the sharping setting, too? That can improve a lot.

Yeah i tried the sharpening setting as well. Cant see much of a difference to be honest, but that could be becuase I have been staring at the same images all day long :-)

I just thought it wouldn't compress the images from 150k+ down to 9k, just seems a little excessive to me.

Thanks for your assistance, its much appreciated.

Did you clear the cache? Besides that I have no idea. I think 9k is actually a good size for thumbs. Less is more..:-)

Yeah i cleared the cache.

Yeah point taken about less is more...heh heh :-)

The thumbnails are 163x130 and around 9k....they just look a littl fluffy

Is there any files i can hack around with so that i can control the amount of compression/quality ? 25k-25k would be nice.
