Where do I set the background color for videos? (specifically quicktime vids)
It's currently showing as white and I can't, for the life of me, change it.

The flvplayer and the flowplayer plugins have plugin options for that. For the quicktime object you should try to do that with CSS.

Sorry, I have never actually tried that myself. I reallly recommend that you use .flv movies with one of the flash players. Flash is most likely installed on many computers, Quicktime is not (except you have only Mac visitors).

I prefer flv as well - unfortunately, in this case I didn't get to pick...
