Hello,

I am trying to install zenphoto on a fasthosts server.
It is a windows server and has php and mysql installed.
I have another website running on it.
I have uploaded all of the zen files into a zenphoto directory but when I try to navigate to setup.php it gives me an internal server error 500.

I do not know how to check if php pages are treated as webpages on fasthosts.
Also I don't know about Apache. How do I check if I have it?

Sorry buy I am a total noob at managing a server.

Thank you

I've downloaded an older version of zen and setup.php was running, however after I have made the changes to zp-config and renamed itit gave me the 500 error again.

You will probably have to consult with the support people for fasthosts. We know nothing of specific providers and their configurations.

I did give them a ring and they told me that I have php scripts activated, apachy and mysql are all fine.

I have other php scripts running on that server as well.

After speaking with fasthosts again I have learned I do not have apache,

Is it possible to install zenphoto without it?

Yes, but the mod_rewrite option may not be used then. But that would not be causing your 500 errors. Maybe they were wrong about PHP like they were wrong the first time about apache
