Hi,

Just trying to update to 1.2.7 but having this message:
"PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function gettext() in C:\webspace\hostings\Postoffices\carlosbatallas.es\hosting\www\Fotos\zp-core\lib-GD.php on line 16"

I went back to 126rc2 and worked flawlessly. Now, I made a fresh installation and again I got the same message. Tried to change attrib to 0755 but somehow is not working (via ftp filezilla, windows server, php 5.2.5) i get "500 'SITE CHMOD 755 zp-core': command not understood". No gettext() support from my hosting.

Besides, in my page, cannot see the photos.

Not being an advanced user... can anyone give me a tip? thx a lot

Your best solution would be to install gettext() support in your PHP. But you should not be getting this error. Could you please describe exactly where the error occurs. (In setup? if so, what has been displayed on the screen.)

Hi and thank you for your feedback.

  1. I run setup and get these (among others) messages:

PHP version 5.2.5
PHP Safe Mode
PHP magic_quotes_gpc
Graphics support: PHP GD library bundled (2.0.34 compatible)
PHP gettext() support [is not present]
PHP setlocale() failed
PHP mbstring package [is not present]

I log in and click GO. Then I arrive to a page saying:
About to update tables...
Done with table update
You can now View your gallery or administer.

When clicking gallery, I go to the mail page, but no photos show up.
When clicking administer, I get the other message:
"PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function gettext() in C:\webspace\hostings\Postoffices\carlosbatallas.es\hosting\www\Fotos\zp-core\lib-GD.php on line 16"

The weird thing is that re-installing 1.2.6 RC 2 things are allright. No problem at all. What could have change?

Best,

Hi,

did install the nightly build. Now, when finishing and going to the admin page, it ask me again to log in. Then it change to a secure conexion and my hosting do not recognise the path:

"La página web de https://carlosbatallas.es/Fotos/zp-core/admin.php# puede estar temporalmente inactiva o tal vez se haya trasladado definitivamente a una nueva dirección web."

It is a httpS address... sorry to bother you so much, but any idea?

thanks

There is an option that may be set to force a secure admin login. Can you log in with http://carlosbatallas.es/Fotos/zp-core/admin.php?

What kind of WEB server software are you running?

Sorry Sbilliard,

I can't log in with this address. I got a "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" and the address is changing to "http://carlosbatallas.es/Fotos/zp-core/admin.php?#". In Chrome, the same as before, it is going to a Secure connexion and the hosting refuses as it is asking for a httpS.

The hosting web server is running windows.

Funny, the 1.2.6 RC2 works perfectly, I reinstalled it yesterday, delete the files and folders, and installed the 1.2.7 and again the same problem. I normally use Chrome, but I did try with Firefox and IE, in the case of but to no avail.

Thanks

Is your web server IIS? Some others have had difficulties like this on IIS. Unfortunately we currently have ability to test on IIS servers, so do not know what the problem is.

To all who are having this problem running IIS servers. I have discovered an anomoly about IIS which is perhaps the cause. I have made a change to Zenphoto which will be in tonight's build. Please give it a try to see if it resolves the problem.

Hi sbillard,

Well, it is not working Now, it just jump to the root address in a httpS page and cannot get into. Say I input: http://carlosbatallas.es/fotos/zp-core/setup.php, then the connexion goes to this address: https://carlosbatallas.es/ and the error message says: "Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): Error unknown". I am using Chrome. Thanks a lot for your help.

Can you do something to see what is happening?

At the end of functions-basic.php in the nightly build there is a function named secureServer(). Please add the following line to it just befor the first if statement.

debugLogArray('$_SERVER', $_SERVER);return false;

Then run your site. This should make the admin accessable. Look at the log tab for the debug log and tell me what the contents of the $_SERVER array is.

ok, now I am lost. I entered in Chrome portable, in incognito mode and... it works! Managed to carry out the set up, going into admin, the gallery is working fine. Went out incognito and the first try, same error, going to htppS connexion. Tried again and.. it worked! OK, went to firefox portable and same, 1st try not, second yes. However, in my work (yes, I am working right now )IE7, it is not working at all. Would it be my hosting? Any issue with cookies? I promise that yesterday evening and this mornig (-6 GMT) it was not working. The version I have is 1.2.7 (4826). Cannot explain it. Well, if you want me to do anything else to get deeper in the mistery, I am available to do anything I could to help you guys getting a better product. I will try at home the debuglog you proposed before. Best.

I'd still like the result of that debug statement. I think it is a matter of finding out how IIS sets some values up. It would probably be too simple for them to match what other WEB servers do....

Best, of course, to get the result form a failing instance.

Hi sbillar,

Problem solved!!!! I was able to go in Chrome in incognito mode again... so I thought, What if I delete the cookies?, and there we went! Most probably I kept the cookies of the first setup and then made all this mess. Now it working as usual, I mean, perfectly. Thanks for all the time you took with this issue, that's one of the reasons I like this program so much! Best

PD: It is working in Firefox as well, and I did not delete the cookies there... Well, i will not give more thoughts to that

FYI, These are the cookies making trouble:
"carlosbatallas.es TRUE /fotos FALSE 1266460337 zenphoto_ssl needed"

"carlosbatallas.es TRUE /fotos TRUE 1266460337 zenphoto_auth ea9f10fab7d44659688113bbaf46250d"

After clearing the cookies folder, I log in and I receive no cookies about zenphoto.

best
