I have noticed two glitches while testing the RSS feeds for my gallery (zp 1.3):
Image submisions that use class-textobject v1.3.0 plugin have a thumbnail in the Gallery rss feed but are missing the thumbnail in the News and Gallery feed.
I have the multilingual option enabled and when I check any translated RSS feed they display ok in the firefox rss bookmarks and in Brief (firefox rss reader plugin). When I subscribe to a feed using Google Reader or the my.yahoo page they fail to print the right translation, printing instead the default language (in my case, my native language), altough I'm using exactly the same url (http://www.adrianmoisa.ro/rss-news.php?withimages&lang=en_US) .
Thanks!
I will take a look at the first issue. Might be an oversite.
Regarding hte 2nd I have no idea right now what Yahoo or Google are doing here. I don't use both (I actually use a normal program - NetNewsWire on Mac- to view feeds.). It is plain standard php stuff that should be exectuted on calling them. MAybe they just ignore the &lang stuff for whatever reason. If you like to help find out about this it would be a great help if you could look into the docs of those if there are any clues regarding this.
Well it looks that Feedburner has the same problem as My Yahoo and Google Reader. However I can say for sure that it ain't their fault. Today after I wrote a few news I noticed that one string gets translated after all. It's the news category string that gets translated in all three services. I think that's proof that the lang variable is used afterall. That's all I can say for sure at the moment.
Hope this gives you a lead to follow.
Yet another observation:
When I check one by one all these links
http://www.adrianmoisa.ro/rss-news.php?withimages
http://www.adrianmoisa.ro/rss-news.php?withimages&lang=en_US
http://www.adrianmoisa.ro/rss-news.php?withimages&lang=ro_RO
I see that the news category string is the only one which ignores the dynamic_locale cokie and brings the translation as requested by url.
I'm curently using the rss-news.php file from 15-Jun-2010 nihtly build in order to fix the first problem with the class-textobject v1.3.0 plugin.
Glad you like it
I have replaced rss-news.php with the one from the 21-Jun-2010 nightly build. I get a series of dates and empty paranteses. Should I wait for today's nightly build (22)?

Ok, I'll do so but is it ok to go with the current nightly build? Are there any serious isues or will it be better to wait for a stable release?
Is it possible to replace only zp-core folder and root files in order to avoid a total reinstall of the site? My galerry version is zp 1.3.
Thanks for help!
We have done no testing of partial updates to the 1.3 release excpept for some specific cases. Since this seems to have caused you problem just updating the RSS scripts I would presume that there are dependencies in those files on other changes made since 1.3 was released.
Of course there is some risk with going with the development stream as it is not as well tested as the release. Still, both acrylian and I am running it. I suspect that there are a few other users doing so as well.
It is your call. Your choices are:
[]Live with the initial problem
[]Update to the current nightly build. Note that you should test this before going live to be sure that it is a better solution than the one above

Examine the changes to the RSS files and determine which changes you need and which you do not. Apply those changes to the 1.3 release. Note that there may still be dependencies on the development stream in the changes you need. You should test this before going live.
I've updated the gallery to the 24-06-2010 nightly build. The RSS feeds are now translated but I can point out two problems:
Text is missing for the news entries with pictures
Images seem to be ofset by one row. Meaning that the first entri has the default alt description and the next one has the image from the previous entry. Class-textobject v1.3.0 entries seem to work just fine.
Everything else seems
Text is missing for the news entries with pictures
What text is missing? I see a description for gallery items as well as content for the articles itself.
Images seem to be ofset by one row. Meaning that the first entri has the default alt description and the next one has the image from the previous entry.
I don't understand, I don't see anything unusal in my feed.
You did clear the rss cache, didn't you?
At the moment I'm not using RSS cache because traffic on my site is still low. Take a look and see what happens...

Thanks!
EDIT:
I'm gonna put a temp news without picture to see what happens.
