Using the admin functions, I tried by 2 times to delete some pictures, but they were not removed.
Finally did it manually.

Any idea ?

Check your server error log, probably a permissions issue.

I'm hosted. I don't know if I can see that.

The rights on the image files are set to 0644

ZP would not give an error message if it was unable to delete the file ?

Not necessary, there should be an error in the server error log. 0644 might not work on your server (see troubleshooting on permissions). I suggest that you ask your host how and where to view that. It essential, even on a shared host (I am personally on shared host as well).

Would it be a good test if I try to upload a photo by using the admin function ?

You can try that but if the folder permission is set wrong it might also not work. in any case find the server error log as you might need it again.

I will see what I can do.
In the mean time, I checked and confirmed that I can upload without any problem.
