Hi,

I was using the version 1.4.0.4; after upgrading the site to the latest version 1.4.1, I can't log in my site with my admin account (the only account I have). I also try with "password reset" option, but I had no luck with the new password.

Please help. Thank you very much.

Then I guess you have to do the drop of the admin table recovery.

With the password reset, did you get to the admin page and make a new password then apply the changes?

I ran into this as well when jumping one of the nightlies. Noticed the lib_auth changed and then after setup couldn't login. Had to drop the admin table as well to gain access.

The reset form sent me a links, and I can access the form to update the passsword. Unfortunately I can't log in with my new password (or the password hadn't been updated yet.)

You have to manage your database manually. With something like phpmyadmin or whatever your host has setup to manage it. Then you have to drop(remove) the admin table. Once you do that, re-run setup and it'll let you re-create your admin user.

@micheall: I've tried as you said. No luck. The login form always redirects me to itself when I press Enter after filling my password & account.

Any ideas?

Oh no. After deleting the tables "adminstrators", the setup could run again and it redirected me to the main control panel. Unfortunately, when I choose the table "users" to update my password, I was redirected to the "overview". AKA I had no chance to update my administrator's password.

Please help again. Thank you very much.

I'ved tried to enable the plugin "user_groups", and the tab "users" disappeared. I turned of the plugin and I saw the tab again; though the tab still didn't work.

Just a note on my upgrade, not a big deal, but may help other users:

Had no special character requirement in the password before upgrade. Seems after upgrade it defaults to requiring special characters. Strange as it took my password during the upgrade process, but immediately after upgrade could not log in and had to do a password reset (captcha) which worked fine. So this may be confusing to some, but I have no issue with it.

The "users" tab is a sub-tab of the admin[ister users] tab when the user_groups plugin is enabled. Setup would have directed you to the exact tab where the password could be reset.

@gjr: Thanks for the tips. After many fail setup, I try with the simplest password. No luck

@sbillard: After setting up, I wasn't redirected to form to "update password". When I enabled plugin (which is disabled by default), I selected the tab "Admin", and again I was redirected to the tab "Overview". I coulnd't get any logs so I have no idea about things happened.

Please help. Thank you very much.

Please help me out here.

If you cannot log on, how are you enabling plugins?

@sbillard: After setting up with "setup.php", I was redirected to the panel, and I can access almost all items there. I guess that the setup provides some live cookies which help me to extend the session.

Try to clear the cookies or follow the troubleshooting on deleting the administrator db table.
