Is it in anyway to have say, 3 different versions of Zenphoto, with different themes, galleries and databases... all working with just one version of the core code ??

Also.. dont know if its just me, but i couldnt search the forum to see if this has been answered already !

Matt-

I don't know of a way to do this. I usually just install multiple instances of zenphoto with different databases.

The answer is no. because zenphoto is dependent on the file structure and paths, this is not possible. Also, the theme is dictated by a file in the cache folder, so if you were to use all the same core files it will always point the the same theme.

You would have to rewrite the core files in some way to accept multiple paths somehow to be able to work. Obviously not supported out of the box but I would say it would take a good amount of hacking to accomplish this.

Chili's got it, bingo. It could be done theoretically, and in fact I might do it in the future (have a "gallery manager" of sorts in the admin, just add a set of paths and a database prefix for an entirely new gallery).

Not possible as it stands, but a useful idea. Thanks!

fair enough.. it could be cool tho - then you only gotta update once if you got multiple installs. :-)

Kepp up the good work !
