I´m a beginner in Zen Photo, and first of all congratulation for a great job

I wonder if it is possible to add a link to picture in a website instead of the picture itself. The features that you have regarding tagging, comments... are great and it would be the perfect tool for a web site that I´m development for commenting pictures of other sites.

That would let many users use your tool without wasting web space.

Zenphoto is for self hosting, it is therefore no possible to manage images elsewhere. The only workaround to do so is to use the text-object plugin and upload text files containing the link to those images.

Of course you will not be able to use Zenphoto's image processor. An example usage with Youtube videos instead of images is the screencast album within our screenshots section.

I see. Should I in that case create a kind of "phantom picture" of one pixel to be able to create the album and the pictures of the album?

How do you manage in your screencast album to have a "picture" of each Youtube video? Are they pictures of the screen?

As mentioned you need to use the text object pluginIf using the textobject plugin. Please see the troubleshooting regarding youtube videos and also video thumbs. It is the same principle.
