I downloaded the latest zip en extracted to a folder on my pc which gives me the following folders/files:

  • albums
  • cache
  • cache_html
    -doc_files
  • plugins
  • themes
  • uploaded
  • zp-core
  • index.php
    I think I'm missing zp-data?
When i upload the files I have to a folder zenphoto within httpdocs with filezilla and i go to www.mysite.nl/zenphoto nothing happens.
Is this because of the missing zp-data or is there something else going wrong?

The zp-data folder is created by setup.

Try to run setup using the full path:
www.yoursite.nl/zenphoto/zp-core/setup.php

Did that and that sort of works, but know I get this error message:

Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client

What now???

Please check if your server meets these requirements.
http://www.zenphoto.org/news/installation-and-upgrading#3

Especially note that PHP 4 and MySQL 4 are not supported anymore.

If you are running PHP5 and MySQL 5 then ask your service provider. Somehow PHP is not configured correctly for MySQL. Sort of what the error message says.

Problem solved. Added a line to the .htaccess file so now it uses php5.3 and the mysql problem solved al well. Now let's get playing with Zenphoto! Thanks for the replies

By the look of things you are using version 1.4.5.2 and you want to run setup again.

From 1.4.5 onwards the setup scripts are automatically protected after setup is completed.(safety measure)

You can un-protect the setup scripts again by going to the admin overview page and click the button: Setup » restore scripts
Then you can run setup again.

I removed both admin files from database
http://silkpla1.wwwssr2.supercp.com/spc_presta/zen/zp-core/admin.php?from=/spc_presta/zen/zp-core/admin-upload.php
and this is the error
The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept
cookies.
thank you in advance.

It's working fine for me.
Try clearing your browser cache.

You should examine the .htaccess file in your root folder. I suspect your PrestaShopDatabase is re-directing things belonging to Zenphoto. Those re-directions did not come from Zenphoto.

You can always turn off "mod_rewrite" to get around this issue.
